Load the Full Windows XP Kernel Into Memory

Before doing this recommended amount of RAM 1GB or more, this tweak will tell windows to load the full kernel to RAM instead of Half RAM and Page File.

FYI: Do a backup of your registry before modifying, if you don’t like this mod you can always restore from your backup.

1. Open regedit [Start – Run – regedit.exe]
2. Navigate to the following key
   
HKEY LOCAL MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControl
Session ManagerMemory Management

3. Add or Modify the following (REG_DWORD) keys:
DisablePagingExecutive = 1LargeSystemCache = 1

   IOPageLockLimit = 10000 or 40000

   If you have 128 MB of RAM type the following: 10000

   If you have 258 MB or More RAM type the following: = 40000

4. Once you done this reboot your machine, and enjoy faster speeds
